5052 treadplate, also known as 5052 checker plate or kick plate, 5052 diamond plate if one bar, is a type of metal plate with regular pattern bars or lines raised on one side to reduces the risk of slipping, also be used for surface protection against damage from traffic, impacts, scratches or harmful chemicals. compare with 3003 or 4017 soft alloy treadplate, 5052 plate bring better mechanical properties to support more applications such as floor access door hatch cover like US grade pedestrian (300 lbs per sq ft) and AASHTO H20.
